Collection: L2 Chronograph Arabized

Dedicated to the architecture, history and charm of the Middle East, the L2 Chronograph (Arabized) is created for the GCC market in collaboration with”Watches Arabized”and OPTO WATCH CO. We call this series “Day and Night”. It isa Limited Edition of 50 pieces per dial. It builds off of the L2 design but draws inspiration from Islamic architecture with geometric designs, domes and pointed arches. The color schemes are drawn from various themes across the region.

The Day and Night series continues on with the Legacy family’s tradition of thoughtful and functional design elements, including:

• Svelte dimensions to create a timepiece that’s timeless. It is sized at 38mm (45mm lug to lug) and maintains a 10.8mm thickness, all while boasting a stunning 3 layered dial that offers plenty of depth and is finished with applied markers, varied textures and a Guilloche center inspired from Arabic art.
• Sapphire Crystal with five layers of anti-reflective coating added to ensure legibility, whether you’re telling time or capturing photos – all while being scratch resistant, so that you can use your timepiece worry free.
• The redesigned 316L stainless steel case boasts an aesthetic that allows the L2 to be worn anywhere, whether casual or formal settings. The case blends both brushed and polished finishes in the right places – with chamfering added (even on the chronograph pushers) to promote light play while letting the dial remain legible.
• The case lugs are a modern interpretation of the legendary “Cornes de Vache” (French for “cow horns”) lug style that renowned watch houses have utilized in the past. Unlike those, the L2’s lugs combine both sharp and rounded edges that maintain the Haim design language while giving respect to those timepieces that paved the way. The lugs are also chamfered for additional distinction.
• Water resistant to 50 metres (160 feet), the L2 is suitable for most activities as long as the crown is pushed down and the pushers are not activated under water. Note that the leather strap should not get wet as that can cause the leather to dry out.   
• The L2 Arabized comes on a handmade Saffiano leather strap from OPTO WATCH CO., that features accent stitching and quick release so that you have the option of replacing the strap with something else that’s personal to you, allowing you to make the appearance truly yours.

The L2 Arabized model is available in two distinct dial themes. Telling the story of Day and Night, we offer a clean design with recessed subdials, and an Arabic Art inspired Guilloche center. The dial boasts a minute counter, chronograph seconds counter, and a Base 1000 Tachometer – All in Arabic.

Al-Nahar (The Day) – An exquisite silver dial with Emerald Green hands and applied Arabic numerals. This is our tribute to the Day, full of light and vibrancy. Green also stands for prosperity which is a color seen on some of the GCC flags.

Al-Layl (The Night) – An Onyx Black dial with gold hands, numerals and markers. It’s a beautiful blend of colors that can be found in traditional dress. Reminiscent of pitch black nights with stars dazzling the skies. This is a breathtakingly beautiful dial that has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In the images, the numbers are a combination of English and Arabic numerals. These images are of prototype models. The final dials will be 100% Arabic numerals.

The L2 features the robust and reliable VK64 meca-quartz movement. A design focus with the L2 is precision and the VK64 achieves that. It also allows both – the connoisseur enthusiast and the casual watch wearer to wear the L2 without worry and daily maintenance. The VK64 movement allows the watch to remain thin, especially since most Chronographs are thicker in size.
